TWO-time defending champions MS ABDB (Royal Brunei Armed Forces)
demolished Menglait FC 10-0 in the DST Super League last night at the
Berakas Sports Complex.
The victory is the armymen’s third straight and it brings them up to
second in the 11-team table just behind leaders Kota Ranger, who are
ahead by three points and have played a game more.
On the other hand, Menglait are second from bottom with three points
from four matches just above Indera SC, who have a solitary point from
two games played.

LKPL Md Baharin Hamidon opened the floodgates in the 13
th minute before SLD (U) doubled their advantage a minute later.
It was 3-0 courtesy of SLD Abd Azizi Ali Rahman in the 20
th minute before SJB Adey Shariduan Hj Johari got his name on the scoresheet in the 32
nd minute.
LKPL Md Yusri Suhaili netted from the penalty spot for their fifth goal before SLD Abd Azizi added his second in the 40
th minute to see MS ABDB carry a 6-0 lead into the locker room.
They needed only five minutes into the second half to add to their
tally through SLD Razimie Ramlli before he headed home another nine
minutes later.
LKPL Md Baharin got his second of the match in the 70
th minute before substitute Md Abd Fairdaus Zoeleffendi completed the rout five minutes later.

MS ABDB assistant coach Dahari Hj Md Yussof was pleased with the showing of his charges.
“The game was alright and everything went accordingly. What we have
been working on in training, the players executed them,” said Dahari in
an interview with
BruSports News after the triumph.
“The players also showed good teamwork that resulted in the scoreline,” he added.
Despite the long break before entering the matchup, MS ABDB have been
continuous training throughout the festive season with sessions in the
night during Ramadhan and in the morning during Hari Raya.

The armymen lost their captain Haizul Rani Metusin, who moved on to
join DPMM FC, but in turn acquired SLD (U) Ak Md Fakharazzi Pg Hj Hassan
from the club.
When asked about the performance of the new right-back, Dahari
replied: “Alhamdulillah. So far so good. He didn’t get much playing time
with DPMM FC and it is good to have him here as a replacement to Haizul
Rani.”
