Bandar Seri Begawan - The team managers of the 44 teams which are set to battle it out for the DST FA Cup 2012 were present at the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) House yesterday as the draw for the first knockout round was conducted.

Hj Mohd Taha Hj Mohd Tahir, the chairman of the tournament, informed the team managers of the various rules and regulations of the tournament and its format before the draw was conducted.

Thirty-two teams from the DST National Football League will be competing in the tournament, which will see the addition of 12 new teams.

The first match, which is set to be played on Sunday (June 10) at the Berakas Sports Complex, will be between MBS United and Rimba Star FC.

Akse Bersatu will play MS ABDB in the second match, and Smkerz Club will lock horns with Tunas FC in the third match.

Elsewhere, Sports School drew QAF FC to set up a clash-of-the-titans, which will be played on Sunday (June 24).

During an interview immediately after the draw, Hj Mohd Taha was hopeful that the tournament would bring out the best of the Brunei football scene.

"There are a few new good teams playing against some of the well-established teams, DSP United versus Indera SC and Sports School versus QAF FC for example, so it will be an interesting tournament," said Hj Mohd Taha.
