ROYAL Brunei Armed Forces (MS ABDB) won the Brunei Games football
competition last night after defeating Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports
Council (MS PDB) 3-2.

The police team dominated the first half as Khalid Mustapa scored the first goal in the 17th minute after being fed with a quick cross from the left.
It was only in the second half when the Armymen took control of the match and scored an equaliser in the 52nd minute by Budiman Jumat.
In the 58th minute, Budiman scored another goal from a freekick leaving the MS PDB goalkeeper helpless.
MS PDB had a glimpse of hope when MS ABDB's Amzar Mu'az Tamit scored an own goal in the 89th minute from a cornerkick.
At 2-2, the final went over to extra-time which left audience at the edge of their seats as both teams were tired out and equally matched in attack and defence.
It was only in the 112nd minute that Mohd Isa Hj Bahar from MS ABDB broke through the police defence and slotted the ball past their goalkeeper.
Even with MS PDB pressing the ball constantly into MS ABDB's side, there was no letting up from the Armymen's defence. The only closest chance for MS PDB was a free kick but it only saw the ball flew past the goalkeeper and over the horizontal bar.
