Bandar Seri Begawan - Can anybody stop them? MS ABDB recorded their fourth win in four games last night after grinding out a 2-0 win over fierce rivals, Jerudong FC, at the Berakas Track and Field Complex.
A drab first half saw MS ABDB limited to crosses into the box, whilst Jerudong FC on the other hand only mustered one significant attempt on goal.

Things started to get a little bit more exciting after the break, with Md Esmendy bin Brahim testing Pvt Mohammad Tarmizi Hj Mat Johari from 40 yards out, before MS ABDB themselves had a decent penalty shout turned down:

An inspired solo run from Muhd Abu Bakar bin Mahari almost provided the breakthrough for Jerudong FC when the tricky midfielder gained possession of the ball in the middle of the park, before evading two challenges and letting fly from 35 yards out, forcing Pvt Mohammad Tarmizi to turn his stinging effort around the post.

Jerudong FC passed up another golden opportunity to break the deadlock when Md Esmendy found space on the left wing, before cutting inside and sliding a pass to Muhd Abu Bakar, who took a touch before seeing his shot from outside the box cannon off the upright.

Pvt (U) Mohammad Mazazizi Mazlan forced Abd Hafiz bin Hj Mursadi into a fingertip save with his header from eight yards out, before MS ABDB finally found a way past the stubborn Jerudong FC defence.
Pvt Mohammad Safari bin Wahit had ventured up from the back, and his shot-cum-cross struck the legs of a Jerudong FC defender, flicking the ball up nicely for Pvt Abdul Azizi bin Ali Rahman, who volleyed home from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute.

It was game, set and match in the final minute of stoppage time when Pvt Mohammad Safari bin Wahit found the back of the net.

MS ABDB recaptured control of the DST Super League standings with 12 points from a possible 12, and have conceded just once in their opening four games.

Brunei's elite football league continues today, with MS PDB taking on WIJAYA FC at the Berakas Track and Field Complex. Kick-off is at 4.15pm.
