THE Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB) are still searching for their first DST Super League win of the season, but QAF FC will be out in full force to deny them the taste of victory in their clash tonight at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

The policemen desperately need to kick-start their season and a win would put them back in contention for the inaugural DST Super League title.

They lost to Royal Brunei Armed Forces 2-1 in the opening match of the tournament on December 14 and were held to a pulsating 4-4 draw by Majra FC at the Balapan Track and Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex on December 21.

MS PDB's coach Sahrin Hj Mohammad Jaya told The Brunei Times last night that he will only be satisfied if they take home all three points from the match.

"It does not matter how we play tomorrow, what I want is three points. We will use any way to win the game tomorrow. If we lose tomorrow, then it will be very difficult to win the league this year," he said.

"We might start strongly early in game to look for early goals and defend. We will see how it goes as QAF FC is one of the strongest team in Brunei and they have a very experienced squad. But we will be attacking tomorrow."

MS PDB have no fresh injury concerns, but will be without their Captain Rosmini Hj Kahar who is out with illness.

Lone striker Mohammad Syarafuddin Hamdi which was effective against Majra FC will spearhead the attack.

"We will play Mohammad Syarafuddin upfront in the game and he will be supported by five midfielders. So we will be playing 4-5-1 tomorrow night. We have not faced QAF FC for a long time, so it will be a fresh challenge for us," added the coach.

Tonight's match will only be QAF FC's second of the season as their previous game against MS ABDB at the Balapan Track and Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas on December 22 was postponed due to unfavourable field conditions as a result of heavy rainfall.

Their first game was a 2-2 draw Indera SC on December 16.

With rivals MS ABDB, Liang Lumut Recreational Club Football Team (LLRC FT) and Wijaya FC flying off to a good start in the tournament, QAF FC's manager Rahim Daud knows that his team need to pick three points tonight.

"It is never going to be easy for us as MS PDB are a very strong team and they are very fit. But we are ready for the game. The players are ready and there are no injuries. I hope the weather is going to be fine tomorrow," he said.

"MS PDB are a different from MS ABDB, they are more technical and we have not met in national league tournament for quite a long time. The last time we met was eight years ago in the NBT Cup final and we won 2-0. But I am sure tomorrow is going to be a different story as both teams want to win." he added.
