Bandar Seri Begawan - QAF FC climbed to 6th in the DST Super League standings after recording a hard-fought 2-1 win over Jerudong FC at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium yesterday.

Adie Arsham bin Md Salleh scored arguably the fastest goal of the season after a miscommunication between the Jerudong FC centre-halves and goalkeeper allowed the QAF FC striker to steal possession of the ball and roll it into the back of the net after just 37 seconds.

Fortune played a large part in QAF FC's second goal, after a cross from the right had Jerudong FC goalkeeper Ismaidnuddin bin Hj Mohamaed back-peddling, the ball came back off the frame of the goal, giving Adie Arsham bin Md Salleh the easy task of tapping home from six yards out in the 51st minute.

Jerudong FC forced a nervy final 20 minutes when Md Esmendy bin Ibrahim converted a penalty following a foul in the box, but the equaliser never materialised.

QAF FC now sit two points behind LLRC FT, who have nine points after six games, although the Bruneian football stalwarts do still have two games in hand, against MS ABDB and Wijaya FC, with the date and venue for both matches yet to be confirmed by the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD).

The DST Super League action continues tonight at the Berakas Track and Field Complex; where the only two unbeaten teams this season, MS ABDB and Majra FC, will square off at 8.15pm.
