NAJIP FC’s season continued to go from bad to worse as they suffered an 11-1 hammering at the hands of MS ABDB at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium last night.

It took MS ABDB until the 11th minute to make the breakthrough, courtesy of Pvt Md Bahrin bin Hj Hamidon, but it was smooth sailing from then on.

Pvt Budiman bin JUmat, Pvt Abdul Azizi bin Abd Rahman, and Cpl (U) Mohammad Hardi Hj Matassan added to Najip FC’s misery to send the home side into the break five goals down.

Cpl (U) Mohammad Hardi Hj Matassan’s effort and Pvt Abdul Azizi bin Abd Rahman’s quickfire brace after the restart put MS ABDB well out of sight, before Mohd Asril bin Kubu bagged a consolatory goal for Najip FC in the 51st minute, which this time wasn’t from the penalty spot.

Pvt Abdul Azizi bin Abd netted his fifth and sixth goals of the game in the 79th and 83rd minute, with a Pvt Muhammad Suhandi Hj Awg Mahali sandwiched in between.

MS ABDB are yet to be beaten in the first season of the DST Super League, and have now racked up 16 points in six games, their only dropped points coming against the league’s only other unbeaten team, Majra United FC, in a thrilling 2-2 draw earlier this week.

Tonight’s fixture pitches seventh placed Jerudong FC against Wijaya FC, who are currently ninth in the standings. Kick-off is at 8.15pm at the Berakas Track and Field Complex.
