Wijaya finally get elusive 2nd win

WIJAYA FC won for the second time in their DST Super League campaign after a 2-1 victory over Jerudong FC last night at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

After a goalless first half, Ak Anaqi Sufi Pg Hj Omar Baqi finally broke the deadlock to give Wijaya the lead on the hour mark.

Md Esmendy Braim equallised for Jerudong in the 78th minute but Wijaya responded immediately through Khalil Saab who fired the winner almost immediately after restart.

Wijaya move up two spot to seventh place on seven points while Jerudong fall to eighth on five points.

The competition continues today with QAF FC going up against Majra FC at the Hassanal Bokiah National Stadium in Berakas.

Kick off is at 8.15pm.
