THE National Under-23 Youth team, Tabuan Muda, scored an emphatic 5-2 victory over bottom dweller Kilanas FC in a DST Super League match at the Berakas Sports Complex yesterday.

“It was a good game today, but I wasn’t happy with the performance in the first half. We put in three new young players as what we tend to do in our games.

“It was a risk, but after we reassessed our tactics for the second half and surely enough, we saw more goals,” he said.

The coach also remains focused on the recruitment and development of his team, but now looks forward for the DST FA Cup.

“We have seven games to go, but we will focus on recruiting more youngsters and developing them. The DST FA Cup is coming and we are looking forward to that,” the coach said.

“More competitions means more exposure for them and that is our objective,” he concluded.
