Indera keep title hopes alive

|     Fadhil Yunus     |

INDERA SC kept their slim hopes of retaining the DST Super League alive after overpowering Najip I Team 4-0 at the Tutong Sports Complex last night.

Aleshahnezan Metali converted a penalty in the 14th minute before key players Afi Aminuddin and two-goal Asri Aspar put the tie to bed.

Indera SC remain in the title hunt at least mathematically after collecting the three points they need to stay in contention but even though they completed a maximum, they still need a sensational breakdown to prevent the title to reach the clutches of MS ABDB.

The army personnel play bottom side Kilanas FC this Friday needing a win to seal a first ever DST Super League title.

Indera SC face a hurdle in Tabuan Muda on October 25 to continue a late surge for the title.
