In a press release, the NFABD stated that they had held a briefing for the team managers of the 10 teams which had qualified from playing in the DST National League earlier this year.
The 10 teams were selected based on their final position in the DST National League, which started from 3 December 2011 and ended on June 4 2012 with 32 teams, split into four groups, playing a total of 112 games.
LLRC FT, QAF FC, Indera SC and Majra United all qualified as champions of their respective groups, whilst runners-up Najip FC, Jerudong FC, MS ABDB and Kilanas FC also booked a berth in the Super League. The two best third placed teams out of the four groups, MS Polis DB and Wijaya FC, completed the league.
Ten of these teams will be playing in the first week of the first Super League season, which will begin on Dec 14. The first match will be played after the opening ceremony, which will be held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas at 8pm.

The organisers of the tournament, NFABD, stressed that registration for players of all 10 teams should comply with the same regulations that were used for the DST FA Cup, which is currently in the semi-final stages.
During the meeting, Haji Awang Mohd Taha also noted that the first season of the Premier League is expected to start in March 2013, whilst voting for the scheduling of all 45 Super League matches this season was also carried out.
The NFABD have underlined the importance to team managers that they and their players must comply with tournament regulations and laws of the game, in the hope of practicing the FIFA Fair Play campaign.
Haji Awang Mohd Taha explained that players in the league would continue to be monitored with a view to finding players who have the potential to make the cut for the national squad ahead of upcoming regional and international level tournaments.
