THE Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) will be bidding their time when they take on Indera Sports Club in tonight's DST FA Cup final.

The Army men head into the tie as favourites after beating Indera 3-1 in their last two encounters, and the fact that they also won the same tournament in 2009 and 2010 will only add to their confidence once they step on to the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

However, like any military man, MS ABDB manager Major Suhaimi Jamali knows that only fools rush into battle.

"The most patient team will win," he insisted last week.

"We will try to be composed and calm. There is no rush (and) I am sure the game will be decided in 90 minutes.

"I think the pressure will be on whoever scores first ... But we have plans for both instances, if we score or concede first - but it depends on how brave you are to change your strategy.

"You have to know your strength and weaknesses so you can create a game plan. You also have to know your enemy well," he added with a glint in his eye.

Though Indera coach Ishak Hj Kabon did not make any predictions like Major Suhaimi, his demeanor suggested that he is also a man with a plan.

The former Wijaya FC handler was given the responsibility to coach Indera especially for the FA Cup, taking over the reins of a club which successfully navigated a tough DST National League Group C - which included MS ABDB and the Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB) - to top the table and ensure progress to the DST Super League.

That Indera also beat MS ABDB for the Red Bull National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) Futsal Champions League in October is probably also not lost on their new coach.

"We enter the game full of confidence," stated Ishak.

"When I took over as coach, I could see that we had the quality to reach the final.

"But one thing you cannot deny is that MS ABDB have the advantage in terms of stamina and fitness ... But if we play as a team, InsyaAllah (God willing) we can do it," he added.
