Brunei DST Super League to enter second round

|     Fadhil Yunus     |

THE second round fixtures of the Brunei DST Super League have been released with defending champions MS ABDB set to lead the way owing to their dominance in the first half of the season.

The army personnel have been in scintillating form unbeaten in their eight games and have only conceded just once this season.

MS ABDB, who are bidding to be the third side to defend the league title, can pull away with an eight-point lead in the title race if they beat Kasuka on Friday.
Wijaya FC, who target a top three finish, are living up to the promise after sitting in second place with 17 points, six ahead of Najip I-Team and five behind the league leaders.
The 2003 league champions have only lost once this season during the opening day defeat to MS ABDB while Najip I-Team, Tabuan under-21 and Kasuka FC are in the mix for third spot.
Indera SC are making up for lost time since the unwanted incident during the Kasuka game and are currently fourth with 10 points and three games in hand.
The two-time champions were dealt a blow when the reigning winners thumped five against their bitter rivals earlier this month.
Meanwhile, at the foot of the table, Lun Bawang are yet to record a single victory in seven games collecting only two points.
The Temburong-based outfit avoided relegation last year via goal difference and are in the relegation places together with Jerudong FC who have only won once this season.
In another match this Friday, MS PDB, boosted by their win over 1993 league champions Kota Ranger, can go level on points with Tabuan if they beat them.
The commencement of the second round will mean that the league may not end until the end of November, according to the schedule.
