TEN-MAN Indera Sports Club put up a dominant performance for a 2-0 victory over Najip FC in the DST Super League last night.

Indera now move five points clear at the top of the 10-team table with 23 points from nine games followed by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) and Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council (MS PDB), who are both tied on 18 points.

League leaders Indera were left to play with a man down for an hour after a careless tackle by goalkeeper Mohd Fakhrul Zulhamzi Yussof on Mohd Azri Zahari after a counter attack at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

It didn’t bother their confidence, though, as they continued to see plenty of the ball.

Indera head coach Hj Omar Hj Jamil was proud of his charges, especially after they kept their composure when being a man down.

“I’m very happy with the way the boys played and it was a very good win,” said Hj Omar in an interview with The Brunei Times after the win.

“The strategy in the second half was to play like normal as if we got all 11 on the pitch.

“We didn’t feel like we had a disadvantage. We didn’t use any long passes and stuck with the short passes which worked,” he added.

“Najip are a good team and are well-organised in both their midfield and defence, but I felt that tonight their finishing was off,” he concluded.

Najip had a chance after a free kick just outside the box in the 39th minute, but Mohd Faiz Fakhrul Razi Muhd Rashid’s attempt went straight to the hands of substitute goalkeeper Mohd Norul Zulhilmi Mustapa.

Indera took the lead after Najip failed to deal with a free kick from a similar position during the next possession.

They could only head away the ball to as far as Mohd Hanafizal Helman Hanafiah, who dribbled the ball down the left and delivered a perfect cross for Mohd Khayrun Salleh to slide home from point blank range in the 42nd minute.

Indera dominated ball possession and were dangerous pushing up front.

They had a chance in the 56th minute after captain Sahrin Momin delivered a cross for Mohd Khayrun to head just wide off the post.

They had another opportunity three minutes later with Mohd Zulkhairy Razali getting at the end of Md Khairul Anwar Abd Rahim’s cross - only to see his shot go over the crossbar.

Mohd Zulkhairy was put through in the 67th minute but Ron Junior Philip did well to deny him in the ensuing one-on-one situation.

It was 2-0 in the 69th minute after Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman was put through on goal as he skipped past the Najip keeper to fire into an empty net.

Najip almost got a lifeline in the 80th minute but Abang Norsilmy Abang Hj Taha could only watch his header bounce off the crossbar.

Indera’s Hj Khairol Anwar Hj Md Yaakub squandered a chance in the 89th minute after a miskick right in front of goal.

A scramble inside the Indera box late into injury time saw the referee point to the spot kick.

Abang Norsilmy took the spot kick but fired wide off the left post to sum up their disappointing evening.

QAF FC menang besar

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/P22_2_20140428.jpg

Penjaring dua gol QAF FC, Mardi Mirza (tengah) dikelilingi beberapa pemain Kilanas FC termasuk penjaring tunggalnya Abdul Qohaar @ Isa (depan Mardi Mirza).

Wijaya bangkit benam MS PDB

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/P22_3_20140428.jpg

– Hasrulraizan

Mardi Mirza brace puts QAF FC on top

  •

Sunday, April 27, 2014

QAF FC recorded a 2-1 triumph against Kilanas FC in a clash at the Balapan Track and Field, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas last night.

In the other game, the Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB) squandered the opportunity to top the league table, succumbing to a 4-3 loss to Wijaya FC.

A brace from QAF FC captain Mardi Mirza Abdullah Bujang in the first half was enough to put his team level on points with sixth placed Lumut Recreational Club Football Team (LLRC FT), but they remain in seventh on goal difference.

The game started brightly for QAF FC. Striker Petrus Jumat sliced through the Kilanas FC defence easily before sending the ball directly into the hands of the keeper.

Kilanas FC would be the team to strike first.

Abd Qohaar @ Isa Ibrahim struck in the 7th minute to give his team the lead. He connected with a cross from the right flank before finding space to slot the ball to the left past the keeper.

The early goal was not enough to prevent Kilanas FC from falling to their eighth loss this season, the most in the 10-team league.

QAF FC struggled to cope with the runs of their opponents and were lucky to not find themselves down 2-0 when Kurmin @ Ridwhan Awang Hj Bini’s attempt struck the post in the ninth minute following a poor clearance.

QAF FC could not find a way past Kilanas FC’s defence and resorted to long balls.

They finally scored their equaliser via a free kick, QAF FC captain Mardi Mirza stepping up to the ball before curling it into the left corner in the 26th minute.

Kilanas FC’s defence began to crumble and Mardi Mirza gave his team the 2-1 lead in the 38th minute.
The QAF FC captain drilled his shot into the right hand corner of the net after receiving a pass from Mohd Adie Arsham Mohd Saleh.

The second half started like the first with both teams playing from the wings.

Kilanas FC should have levelled the match in the 59th minute but Abang Hazim Abang Hadzman failed to convert on a clear header.

QAF FC’s defence struggled to match the pace and skill of Kilanas FC’s Mohd Nor Hidayatullah Hj Zaini who, unfortunately, could not convert a host of chances.

His best opportunity came in the 72th minute from a run into the box but his shot was saved by the QAF FC keeper.

QAF FC looked vulnerable in the closing minutes but they managed to hold on for the win.

“It was amazing to score the two goals tonight and carry my team into a victory, especially since we lost our previous two matches,” said Mardi Mirza.

“It was disappointing to see that on several occasions we didn’t have good finishing. It would’ve made our result better if we had done so.”

Kilanas FC coach Emzah Chuchu, despite another loss, still sounded resolute and confident in his team’s efforts but expressed frustration at their lack of luck during the match.

“Tonight we played well as a team. Teamwork was our key. Eventhough we had those chances to break through and get some solid shots in, we should’ve had better finishing overall. If we did, we probably would’ve scored a goal or two,” said the coach.

“The players and the trainers do practice hard so it’s disappointing to see that our efforts haven’t come along as well as we thought.”

Wijaya FC, meanwhile, now sit in fifth spot following their win over at the Berakas Sports Complex.

Wijaya FC opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Jamri Johari and Khalil Saab scored the second in the 45th minute to make it 2-0

More goals were to come in the second half as MS PDB’s Cpl Rosmini Hj Abd Kahar scored in the 51st minute to make it 2-1.

Wijaya FC responded by scoring the next two goals in quick succession, Jamri and Khalil Saab finding the back of the net in the 56th and 59th minute respectively.

MS PDB fought back with a second goal from Cpl Rosmini in the 69th minute and Pc Md Nazirul Arsat scored in the 76th minute but they ran out of time in search of the equaliser.

Gol Suhaimi benam Majra

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE22_240402323735.jpg

ABDB move to second

|     Fadhil Yunus     |

MS ABDB leapfrogged MS PDB to second place in the DST Super League after edging out Majra FC 1-0 at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

Suhaimi Hj Md Yussof’s solitary goal in the 75th minute proved decisive.

Their superior goal difference meant that they held a comparative advantage against fierce rivals MS PDB.

Both MS PDB and MS ABDB have played the same amount of games each while Indera SC can open up a five- point gap shall they win in their game at hand.

Majra could had been given a slender chance as high as sixth starting with a win but MS ABDB – keeping tabs with the top three in last week’s 2-1 win against Najip – were determined to put their woes against Indera behind them in a game that swung the title aspirations not in favour of the army’s team.

That said Majra had arrived on the back of a confident draw against the runaway league leaders until Suhaimi stepped up to produce the goods for MS ABDB.

Meanwhile, Najip FC returned to winning ways after comfortably beating LLRC FT 4-0 on Monday night at the Tutong Sports Complex.

Mohd Azri bin Zahari, Abang Nor Sillmy bin Abang Taha, Ampuan Mohd Endy Azri bin Ampuan Hj Idris and Abang Nur Hilman bin Abang Nor Hillmy all found the net for Najip FC.

Najip FC balas dendam

Oleh Hasrulraizan

TUTONG, 22 April – Najip FC dan LLRC FT memulakan kempen pusingan kedua Liga Super DST-NFABD 2014 malam tadi, dan ia menjadi cerita berbeza berbanding pertembungan keduanya di pusingan pertama apabila Najip FC melunaskan dendamnya tewas 1-2 pada 3 Mac lalu untuk membelasah LLRC FT 4-0.

Dua gol di tiga minit terakhir separuh masa pertama ternyata merubah corak permainan sekali gus menjadi penentu kemenangan besar Najip FC, kerana jika kekal 0-0 sehingga babak pertama berakhir, pasti pendekatan kedua-dua pasukan pada babak kedua berbeza dan mungkin keputusan juga berbeza.

Md Azri Zahari menjaringkan gol pertama Najip FC pada minit ke-43 dan kedudukan segera menjadi 2-0 selang seminit kemudian apabila Abang Nor Sillmy Abang Taha pula meledakkan jaringan, dan kedua-dua jaringan itu jelas mengejutkan LLRC FT yang bertahan cemerlang sebelum gol-gol berkenaan.

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE22_2304023204950.jpg

THE Royal Brunei Armed Force Sports Council (MS ABDB) are second in the DST Super League mid-way through the season.

The army men, who played with 10 men for 50 minutes, edged Majra United FC 1-0 last night at the Berakas Sports Complex.

They are tied on 18 points with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS PDB) but have a superior goal difference compared to the policemen. Majra remain ninth with five points but still have a game in hand.

The army men dominated the proceedings in the first half and were pushing forward on each possession.
They were more physical and aggressive as opposed to their younger opponents, who fielded seven Under-21 players in their starting 11.
MS ABDB were reduced to 10 men in the 40th minute after goalkeeper SLD Muhd Suhandi Hj Mahali handled the ball outside the box during a Majra counterattack.

It didn’t seem to deter the confidence of the army men as they almost got in front just before the break through captain Lkpl Ak Mohd Safri Pg Othman, who saw his shot sail just wide of the post.

MS ABDB continued to dominate ball possession despite their numerical disadvantage but couldn’t seem to break the deadlock.

They got their first chance in the second half through Lkpl Suhaimi Hj Md Yussof, but he could only fire his free-kick from the edge of the box just over the crossbar in the 54th minute.

Majra responded immediately but MS ABDB’s substitute goalkeeper Sld Zulfadhli Pehin Khatib Hj Matasan did well to parry Ak Muhd Asri Pg Azahari’s shot from inside the box.

Lkpl Suhaimi had another opportunity in the 66th minute down the left but could only hit the side netting.

MS ABDB were awarded a penalty in the 76th minute after Sld Mohd Safari Wahit was judged to have been fouled inside the box off a corner.

Lkpl Suhaimi calmly slotted the ball down the middle while Majra custodian Mohd Sahan Mumtazali dived to his right.

The army men could have doubled their advantage in the 82nd minute but Sld Mohd Baharin Hamidon saw his attempt blocked off the line.

Mohd Abd Azim Said almost equalised for Majra two minutes later with his free-kick on target, but Sld Zulfadhli did well to keep the ball out for a corner.

Sld Zulfadhli once again came to the rescue of MS ABDB with another save to deny Suhaimi Anak Sulau for the victory.

MS ABDB manager Major (U) Pg Muhd Mufid Pg Hj Umar Ariffin was relieved to take all three points.

“We dominated the game despite being down to 10 men, but I’m disappointed with our finishing as we created a lot of chances,” he said in an interview with The Brunei Times after the triumph.

“I’m proud of the team as they had a good mindset in the second half.

“Alhamdullilah, we managed to break the draw as the most important thing for us were the three points,” concluded the MS ABDB manager.

Meanwhile, the matchup between leaders Indera SC and Jerudong FC at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas was postponed.

Easy win for Najip FC

Najip FC’s Ampuan Mohd Endy Azri Ampuan Hj Idris (C) celebrates with Mohd Azri Zahari (L) and Mohd Fakhrul Razi Muhd Rasyid after scoring the team’s third goal against LLRC FT in their DST Super League match at the Tutong Sports Complex last night. Najip won 4-0.BT/Yee Chun Leong
Tuesday, April 22, 2014

NAJIP FC dominated from start to finish last night when they eased past Liang Lumut Recreational Club (LLRC) FT 4-0 in their DST Super League clash.

The win sees Najip leapfrog the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) to third place with 16 points from eight games while LLRC remain fifth in the 10-team table with 12 points to their name.

Najip saw plenty of ball possession at the Tutong Sports Complex and Mohd Azri Zahari should have scored in the 20th minute after chipping the onrushing LLRC keeper Md Syafiq Shadan, but his effort was way over the crossbar.

Najip got another opportunity 10 minutes later with Mohd Azri setting up Abang Norsilmy Abang Hj Taha, who fired just wide of the post.

LLRC almost got in front through Md Hakeem Keri in the 38th minute after he received a good through ball in the box, but despite beating Najip keeper Ron Junior Philip, the ball was inches off the target.
Mohd Azri finally broke the deadlock for Najip in the 43rd minute after heading home a cross from the left by Ampuan Mohd Endy Azri Ampuan Hj Idris.

They doubled their lead the next minute with Mohd Azri setting up Abang Norsilmy on the left to fire home past the LLRC custodian.

Najip started the second half the same way they completed the first.

Captain Muhd Karimurrizal Kasmi almost got his name on the scoresheet in the 54th minute after his free-kick rattled the crossbar, and there was more misery for LLRC in the 64th minute when Md Syafiq failed to handle a long-range effort.

Mohd Azri was fastest to the rebound and he unselfishly passed the ball to Ampuan Mohd Endy Azri to blast it home.

Najip continued to move forward but could not add to their lead despite two good looks by Mohd Azri.
Substitute Abang Nur Hilman Abang Nor Hillmy then killed off the match with a goal in the 83rd minute after just getting on the pitch.

Najip manager Hj Rahman Hj Ali was delighted with the win, especially since they lost their first meeting to LLRC 1-0 back in March in what was their first defeat of the season.

Najip were coming into the game winless in their last two games - they lost their last game to MS ABDB 2-1 before a 2-2 draw with Jerudong FC - giving Hj Rahman more cause for celebration.

“I’m very happy with the performance and it is great to get back to winning,” said Hj Rahman in an interview with The Brunei Times after the triumph.

“It is good to avenge our loss to LLRC. We played well even though we didn’t have a full team with key players out with injuries.

“The players have been working hard and they showed good teamwork, but I believe we can play even better and hopefully we do so in the next match,” he concluded.

The league continues today with defending champions and current leaders Indera SC going up against Jerudong FC at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

The other match pits MS ABDB against Majra FC at the Berakas Sports Complex. Both start at 8.15pm.

Kilanas FC catat kemenangan kedua

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE22_2104023150992.jpg

MS PDB 18 mata selepas pusingan I

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE22_2104023151819.jpg

QAF lose 3-1 to MS PDB

QAF slumped to a fourth defeat following a 3-1 defeat against a high-spirited MS PDB at the Balapan Track and Field last night.

MS PDB kept their hopes of chasing Indera SC alive at the summit of the DST Super League displacing MS ABDB to move to second place and only two points from the table toppers.

The police side sent a warning early on with Zulhamzi bin Hj Awang causing alarm on the wings but his teammates would need better service to make their opportunities count. Fewer errors such as this kept MS PDB in contention for the win but with QAF desperate for points, they were well intact to quieten their opposition’s strikers.

Md Khairol Amin felt the weight of an unintentional challenge which warranted a bookable offence for the perpetrator.

QAF played a wonderful one-two but MS PDB monitored their movement perfectly to force a corner.
Mohd Syafiq bin Jefry, the youngest player of the pitch, found space to strike a decent effort that sailed just wide off the frame of goal.

Jasriman bin Hj Johari tried his luck from the distance but the keeper was not to be embarrassed despite dropping the ball.

QAF had a golden opportunity to pull ahead but saw a shot scuffed wide from a promising position.
MS PDB went close from a corner but could not slide the ball into the near post, attributed to the alertness of the QAF’s backline.

Abd Aziz bin Awg Hj Muhammad got into the referee’s book following a rash challenge and the fouled player was lucky to escape injuries.

Abd Aziz showed no signs of exercising caution shortly after picking up the yellow card after chopping down a QAF’s defender sprinting in full steam. The referee did not hesitated to send the player off even though the second offence may have appeared to be less malicious than the first one.

Md Khairol Amin had to palm a QAF’s effort out for a corner as the visitors mounted pressure with an advantage.

QAF’s missed chances would prove costly as the police side upped their tempo with a swift counter down the wings. Md Nazirolmubin bin Hj Roslan, who had earlier replaced Mohd Bohari bin Mohd Hasan as the player sacrificed due to Abd Aziz’s dismissal, delivered a low cross into the box which was coolly dispatched by the lively Jasriman to provide MS PDB an advantage that bore much importance.

QAF had a free-kick well saved with the keeper reading the set-piece specialist all along without any difficulty. The home side could consider themselves unfortunate as they hit the woodwork on a couple of occasions.
All the attacking threat they had been imposing dispersed into thin air as MS PDB pulled further ahead through Jasriman’s second goal of the game.

In a game where the referee did not shy away from his pocket cautioning the players with almost frightening consistency, Khalid bin Mustapah’s wild lash into a QAF player’s thigh stood as one of the worst tackles in the game.

QAF would go down fighting and their instant pressure bore fruit as they reduced the deficit through Md Shah Azhar Hj Metussin in the 68th minute.

QAF’s missed chances would prove their own downfall again even though they enjoyed more of the possession deep into the second half than the police side, somehow feeling the burden of playing with a man down.

QAF had a good effort with a volley but Md Khairol produced a fingertip save to deny a chance created out of nothing.

It was too much for substitute Sam Frank who vented his frustration too much for the referee’s liking.
QAF’s advantage cancelled out after Muhd Hafis bin Mahari was sent to an early bath for a professional foul.

Rosmini bin Hj Abdul Kahar casted all doubts where the victory was heading as the captain steered sufficient power to his shot aided by the obstructed view of the keeper.

In another match, Kilanas FC beat Wijaya FC 2-0 at Berakas Sports Complex.

MS PDB shoot down QAF FC

Sunday, April 20, 2014

A CLINICAL performance by ten-man Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council (MS PDB) saw them prevail 3-1 over QAF FC in their DST Super League match at the Balapan Track and Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas last night.

The game looked to be going in a different direction early on with QAF FC putting on a dominant performance at the start.

They managed to create several chances but failed to trouble MS PDB goalkeeper Md Khairol Amin Hj Zainuuddin.

The match took a turn at the midway mark of the half when a painful collision between QAF FC’s goalkeeper Junaidi Akim and teammate striker Riwandi Wahit saw the latter stretchered off the pitch
.
QAF FC appeared to have gained the upper hand at the 26th minute when MS PDB defender Abd Aziz Hj Mohammad picked up his second yellow card in quick succession, leaving the referee no choice but to flash him the red.

The send off only served as a wake up call for MS PDB.

Their backline remained composed and the policemen would make QAF FC pay for not capitalising on their numerical advantage

A quick free-kick from MS PDB’s defensive half just before the break took QAF FC by surprise and winger Md Naasirrudden Hj Zulkifly skidded past his marker to deliver a pinpoint low cross to the box for Jasriman Hj Johari to break the deadlock at the 44th minute.

QAF FC came out the stronger side at the restart, hitting the goal post twice and forcing the on-form MS PDB goalkeeper to make a number of acrobatic saves.

Their momentum was however stalled in the 54th minute when Jasriman broke through the right flank and grabbed his second of the night, scoring via a volley past Junaidi.

QAF FC continued to pile on the pressure despite trailing and midfielder Sam Frank’s introduction in the second half showed glimpses of a comeback.

The pressure paid off in the 68th minute when Md Shah Azhar Abdullah Ahar sent a thunderous shot to the top right corner to finally beat Md Khairol Amin.

Any chances of a QAF FC equaliser faded in the 81st minute when Muhd Hafis Mahari – who also received a red card in a previous meeting with MS PDB – mishandled the ball to see his second yellow of the night.

MS PDB captain Rosmini Hj Abd Kahar put the game away in the 87th minute when he calmly sent the ball to the back of the net following a one-on-one matchup against Junaidi.

MS PDB’s sixth win of the season saw them leapfrog Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) to second place with 18 points.

League leaders Indera SC currently sit on 20 points but with a game in hand.

MS ABDB rapatkan jurang

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 16 April (Hasrulraizan) – Persaingan tiga tangga teratas Liga Super DST-NFABD menjadi semakin menarik apabila MS ABDB merapatkan semula jurang dengan pendahulu liga Indera SC kepada lima mata selepas menewaskan Najip FC 2-1 malam tadi.

MS ABDB bermula garang dalam aksi di Kompleks Sukan Berakas apabila membolosi gawang Najip FC seawal minit kesembilan hasil jaringan Soldadu Md Khairuddin Abdul Kadir. Kedudukan 1-0 itu kekal sehingga masa rehat walaupun kedua-dua pasukan berusaha mendapatkan gol menerusi serangan bahaya terancang. Babak kedua semakin sengit apabila Najip FC semakin terdesak mencari gol penyamaan, namun enam minit selepas sepak mula MS ABDB pula yang menambah jaringannya melalui Soldadu Md Baharin Hamidon.

MS ABDB selesa dengan pendahuluan dua gol namun masa masih panjang membuatkan MS ABDB berhati-hati sehingga memperlahankan permainan dan cuba mengawal bola selama mungkin, namun Najip FC terus memberikan tekanan.

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE22_1704023138553.jpg

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE22_170402313771.jpg

Badi Jerudong berterusan

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE24_20140416_A.jpg

Majra hold Indera to draw

MAJRA UNITED held defending champions Indera SC to a 0-0 draw during their DST Super League match last night, handing the titleholders their second draw of the season.

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) beat Najip FC 2-1 in last night’s other game.
The army men’s fifth win of the campaign has pushed them from fourth to second – and just five points adrift of Indera.

Indera started the game strongly and spent most of the 90 minutes inside their opponent’s half, though Majra’s well-organised defence made it difficult for Indera to find the net at the Balapan Track & Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

Majra had some of the best scoring chances, with most of them led by captain Faizal Mohammad.

However, Faizal’s attempts to score did not bear any fruit as Indera goalkeeper Mohd Fakrul Zulhamzi Yussof was quick with his saves.

Indera’s coach was unhappy with his team’s performance which he blamed on “carelessness”.

“We had opportunities to score but the strikers and the players did not convert them,” said Hj Omar Hj Jamil, whose team drew 1-1 against QAF FC on Feb 9.

“We will need to train more on our finishing and we have to refine and improve it so that the opportunities that came along can be converted,” he said, adding that Majra were well-organised due to Faizal’s coordination.

Majra’s coach mirrored Hj Omar’s comments.

“We had a lot of opportunities to score but unfortunately they were not well taken,” said Hj Mahadi Hj Matzin.

“Indera are a renowned and respected opponent and during the game we were strengthening our defence to be on par with them,” said Hj Mahadi, adding that they will also have to work on their finishing
.
Meanwhile at the Berakas Sports Complex, MS ABDB’s Sld Mohd Khairuddin Abd Kadir opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Sld Mohd Baharin Hamidon made it 2-0 in the 51st minute.

Najip’s Noor Raimi Karim @ Syahremy got his team on the scoresheet with a 72nd minute penalty.

Najip dropped from third to fourth with the result, while the Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council are third in the 10-team table.

Indera teruskan rentak kemenangan

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE22_1404023206289.jpg

Wijaya benam MS PDB

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE22_1404023207132.jpg

Indera stay perfect

Sunday, April 13, 2014

INDERA SC tightened their grip on the lead of the DST Super League yesterday, defeating Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB ) 2-0 at the Berakas Sports Complex.
Indera remain the only undefeated side in the 10-team table, currently sitting on 19 points but head coach Hj Omar Hj Jamil is still not satisfied with his team.

“Winning tonight was 50-50. We were lucky and didn’t miss our chances in front of goal,” he said, reminding his players to stay humble and focused.
Tactically, he instructed his team to play short passes since he expected MS ABDB to play long balls into the box.
Going into the final rounds of the games, he said that the team still need to improve as more chances fell to the other team as the game went on.
In terms of outstanding performers on the field, the coach singled out goalkeeper Mohd Fakrul Yussof.
The game kicked off at a blistering pace with MS ABDB hoping to climb to second should they secure a win.

Early chances fell to Indera as Mohd Khayrun Salleh’s shot was saved by MS ABDB keeper Sld Zulfahdil Pehin Khatib Hj Matasan in the fifth minute.

MS ABDB only had a handful of chances in the first half but their attacks were swiftly dealt with by an effective Indera back line.

A solid performance by Indera defender Muhd’Afi Aminuddin was tainted in the 34th minute when he was given a yellow card for dissent against the referee.

He was contesting a free kick which was awarded after the Indera keeper handled the ball outside the box.

The second half continued like the first with fast passing by Indera.

A yellow card was shown to MS ABDB’s Sld Mohd Safari Wahit for breaking up a quick move by Indera shortly after the restart.

MS ABDB’s crosses into the box from the wings were more decisive in the second half, but none found the target.

Their first shot on target came in the 53rd minute from LKPL Suhaimi Hj Md Yussof, but the attempt failed to trouble the keeper.

Indera finally got their team on the scoreboard in the 58th minute when Mohd Asri Hj Aspar capitalised on a poor clearance, firing his shot into the back of the net from inside the box.

MS ABDB tried to change their fortunes with a timely substitution.

Sld Budiman Jumat was brought in for Sld Abd Azizi Ali Rahman in the 65th minute but the player change did little to stop the league’s leading scorer, Mohd Zulkhairy Razali, from scoring in the 75th minute to bring his goal tally to seven.

The 17-year-old used his quick feet in the box and slotted the ball pass the keeper from the right to make it 2-0.

In the other match, Wijaya FC defeated Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB) 2-1 at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

MS PDB led the game in the 15th minute from a goal by Jasriman Hj Johari.

The equaliser came in the 33th minute from Ak Anaqi Sufi Pg Omar Baqi.

A last minute winner in the 93rd minute by Abang Md Fakhri Abang Jaludin meant that they keep up with the league leaders only a point behind.

MS ABDB uji kemampuan Indera

 http://mediapermata.brunei-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/PAGE20-FC_1204023129797.jpg

Kedua-dua perlawanan esok (Sabtu) bermula jam 8:15 malam.

Kilanas mangsa kebangkitan LLRC FT

Ketika perlawanan separuh masa pertama hampir tamat, pemain muda berbakat LLRC FT Awangku Md Haikal Pengiran Zaidi meledakkan gol ketiga pasukan pada minit ke-44.

Usaha mereka akhirnya menggegar gawang LLRC FT buat kali kedua pada minit ke-49, hanya empat minit selepas separuh masa kedua bermula, menerusi jaringan Naasiruddeen Wahab.

Jaringan itu menggentarkan LLRC FT dan pemain Kilanas FC berusaha untuk mencari gol penyamaan pula, namun usaha mereka dipatahkan apabila Md Amirul Zafrey Md Norshaney menjadikan kedudukan 4-2 pada minit ke-68.

Md Amirul Zafrey mudah menendang bola masuk ke gawang terbuka Kilanas setelah menerima hantaran silang rendah dari Md Hakeem Keri, yang berpeluang sendiri untuk menjaringkan gol tatkala hanya berdepan dengan penjaga gol Kilanas FC Abdul Rahman @ Hazmie Hayat Emzah tetapi memilih untuk melorongkan bola kepada Md Amirul Zafrey.

Kemurahan hati Md Hakeem Keri itu kemudiannya terbalas apabila beliau berjaya menjaringkan gol kelima LLRC FT empat minit kemudian, sekaligus meranapkan peluang kebangkitan Kilanas FC.
– Hasrulraizan
