INDERA Sports Club won't be holding anything back when they face the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) in tomorrow's DST Super League title decider.

The top two clubs in the competition will clash at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas, where a win for Indera will put them level on points with MS ABDB.

Their superior goal difference, though, will see them go home with the DST Super League title.

After losing out on the DST FA Cup to the soldiers in December after a 115th minute goal from Cpl (A) Mohammad Hardi Hj Matassan, which earned MS ABDB their third FA Cup title in four years, Indera know that a good start will be key to securing the win.

"We'll be going all-out on attack," promised Indera's manager Rosdin Hj Abd Aziz yesterday.

"I hope we can score early and pressure them, and I also hope that luck will be on our side unlike during the FA Cup final.

"We know that MS ABDB's stamina and discipline are their strengths and that will decide the 90 minutes," he noted.

His counterpart Major Azaman Hj Hussin, who last month said that the title will be won by either MS ABDB or Indera, didn't want to heap on any extra pressure on his players.

Though he stated that the team are "preparing like any other match," the manager was quick to point out that his players must not underestimate their opponents.

"Indera are a very good team, a very professional football club," said Major Azaman.

"We have to be careful playing against them and we must learn how they play as soon as the game starts.

"Thankfully, none of our main players are injured," he added.

Indera moved within three points of league leaders MS ABDB following their 3-1 victory over the Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council (MS PDB) on Tuesday, while the policemen remained fourth in the table with 13 points the result ensuring that the race for the title would go down to the wire.

Majra United FC have already been guaranteed a top-three finish after Abang Nor Silmy Abang Hj Taha's 32nd minute goal secured them a 1-0 win over QAF FC last Saturday while Wijaya FC handed Najip FC a 7-0 thrashing on the same night, leaving the latter as the only team yet to pick up a point.

They will go up against QAF FC at the Balapan Track and Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas tonight, with all signs pointing to a QAF win.

Wijaya, meanwhile, will finish this year's campaign on seventh with 10 points displacing Jerudong FC who end their season eighth with nine points.

The soldiers' 5-1 victory over Kilanas FC last Sunday meant Kilanas finish second last in the 10-team table with four points.

Organised by the National Football Association Brunei Darussalam, 10 teams Indera, Jerudong, Kilanas, Liang Lumut Liang Recreation Club Football Team, Majra FC, MS ABDB, MS PDB, Najip, QAF and Wijaya are involved in the elite national league which is being held for the first time this year.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 5 Mac - Indera SC memberikan khabar gembira kepada para peminat bola sepak tanah air apabila membuat temujanji dengan MS ABDB pada Ahad, 10 Mac 2013 ini dalam perlawanan terakhir Liga Super DST-Brunei 2012/2013 bagi menentukan siapa layak bergelar "Juara Liga Super".

Temujanji 'final' antara kedua-dua pasukan berkenaan menjadi kenyataan apabila Indera SC menang 3-1 ke atas MS Polis Diraja Brunei malam ini bagi mengutip 3 mata penuh, menjadikan kutipan keseluruhan matanya kepada 19, tiga mata di belakang MS ABDB.

Di dalam perlawanan penentuan itu nanti, MS ABDB hanya sekadar memerlukan seri untuk muncul juara manakala Indera SC mesti menang untuk merangkul kejuaraan walaupun sekadar 1-0, bagi menyamakan kutipan matanya dengan MS ABDB iaitu 22 mata, kerana Indera SC mempunyai kelebihan perbezaan jaringan yang lebih besar.

Mohammad Azwan Ali Rahman menerajui kemenangan Indera SC dengan jaringannya pada minit ke-18 apabila berjaya melepasi perangkap ofsaid MS Polis Diraja Brunei sebelum melambungkan bola dari luar Petak D melangkaui jangkauan L/CPL 4673 Md Khairol Amin Haji Zainuddin di gawang MS Polis Diraja Brunei.

Reduan Haji Petara menjadikan kedudukan 2-0 pada minit ke-60 dan Hamizan Aziz memberikan keselesaaan kepada Indera SC selang dua minit kemudian bagi memberikan Indera SC kelebihan tiga gol.

MS Polis Diraja Brunei yang sentiasa kelihatan merbahaya melalui serangan balas pantasnya sedari babak pertama lagi akhirnya berjaya membolosi pertahanan Indera SC pada minit ke-86 menerusi Ketua Pasukannya, CPL 4346 Rosmini Haji Abdul Kahar bagi menjadikan kedudukan 1-3.

Namun jaringan itu agak lewat bagi memberikan sebarang peluang kebangkitan lewat MS Polis Diraja Brunei mengejar Indera SC bagi sekurang-kurangnya mendapatkan keputusan seri, dan kini hanya mampu berharap Najip FC melakukan kejutan mustahil menewaskan QAF FC pada Sabtu, 9 Mac ini, bagi mengekalkan kedudukan keempatnya ketika ini.

Kemenangan Indera SC itu juga bermakna, Majra United FC yang mengumpul 19 mata dan +9 perbezaan jaringan selepas menamatkan kempennya musim ini pada Sabtu, 2 Mac yang lalu, terpaksa berpuas hati memenangi tempat ketiga, walaupun menjadi satu-satunya pasukan yang berjaya menewaskan Indera SC setakat ini dalam musim ini, memandangkan Indera SC memiliki perbezaan jaringan +30.

Liga Super DST-Brunei 2012/2013 akan diteruskan lagi Sabtu, 9 Mac ini, juga di Balapan & Padang, Kompleks Sukan Negara Hassanal Bolkiah dengan perlawanan di antara QAF FC (13 mata) dan Najip FC (0 mata), bermula pukul 8:15 malam.

Manakala perlawanan penentuan juara akan berlangsung bermula pukul 8:15 malam di Stadium Negara Hassanal Bolkiah pada Ahad, 10 Mac nanti, dengan Indera SC yang kini mengumpul 19 mata perlu menang, manakala MS ABDB yang sudah mengumpul 22 mata, hanya memerlukan keputusan seri untuk merangkul kejuaraan liga musim ini.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Selasa, 5 Mac. - Pasukan Indera SC masih mempunyai peluang cerah untuk menjadi juara Liga Super DST-Brunei 2012/2013 jika berjaya menumpaskan pasukan Majlis Sukan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (MS ABDB) dalam perlawanan terakhir mereka yang dijangka berlangsung pada 10 Mac depan di Stadium Negara Hassanal Bolkiah, Berakas.

Pasukan kendalian Rosdin bin Haji Abd. Aziz ini menarik nafas lega apabila berjaya menumpaskan pasukan Majlis Sukan Polis Diraja Brunei (MS PDB) dengan jaringan 3-1, namun masih mempunyai baki satu perlawanan lagi.

Kurang selesa bagi pasukan keselamatan ini apabila menamatkan persaingan liga dengan harus menangung kekalahan pada malam ini.

Dengan kemenangan ini meletakkan kembali pasukan Indera SC berada di tempat kedua untuk berkongsi mata dengan pasukan Majra United, namun dipisahkan oleh kelebihan jaringan.

Hantaran jauh dari tengah oleh Md. Nazirul Nazreen pada minit ke-18 yang tampaknya kurang bahaya kepada Md. Azwan berjaya disudahkan dengan bola tinggi yang menerjah gawang pasukan MS PDB, selepas melihat penjaga gol lawan sudah keluar dari kedudukannya.

Reduan bin Haji Petara menjadikan kedudukan 2-0 selepas berjaya menjaringkan gol pada minit ke-60 sebelum Hamizan bin Abd. Aziz melengkapkan jaringan ketiga dua minit selepas itu.

MS PDB mendapat gol tunggal mereka melalui Koperal Rosmini bin Haji Abd. Kahar ketika perlawanan hanya berbaki empat minit.

Ketua Jurulatih Pasukan Indera SC, Haji Omar bin Haji Jamil merasakan perlawanan malam ini seimbang dan melahirkan kegembiraan di atas kejayaan tersebut.

Menyentuh perlawanan terakhir dan penentuan untuk bertemu pasukan yang masih mengekalkan rekod tanpa kalah iaitu MS ABDB, beliau mahu perlawanan tersebut sebagai medan mewujudkan kesungguhan para pemain kerana jelasnya apa pun boleh terjadi pada perlawanan akhir nanti.

Beliau juga menasihatkan para pemainnya untuk tidak merasa tertekan ketika berhadapan dengan pasukan lawan kerana, menurutnya, faktor tekanan boleh menggugat keupayaan dan kemampuan sebenar pemain.

Namun bagi beliau kedua-dua pasukan dalam perlawanan akhir nanti masih mempunyai peluang seimbang untuk menjulang piala

A FITTING 'edge of the seat' finish is in store for the inaugural season of the DST Super League.

The league will only be able to crown its first champion on the very last day of the season as Indera Sports Club moved within three points of leaders Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) following their 3-1 victory over Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB) last night.

The top two clubs in the competition will clash on Sunday at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium and a win for Indera will

ut them level on points against MS ABDB. Their superior goal difference will however see them go home with the DST Super League title.

"We will fight for the entire 90 minutes. We will fight for a win. Both (Indera and MS ABDB) are the best attacking teams in the country. I am expecting a tough game and I think MS ABDB will go out to win the game too," said Indera SC manager Rosdin Hj Abdul Aziz in an interview with The Brunei Times after the match.

Indera went into the game last night knowing that anything less than three points at the Balapan Track & Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas will dash their hopes of winning the title this year.

They started the game brightly early in the first-half with their typical flowing and assured short passes.

This made for several scoring opportunities but they struggled to find their way past the MS PDB back four.

They would find the back of the net in the 18th minute via current top scorer of the league with 16 goals Azwan Ali Rahman.

Azwan unleashed a thunderous strike just from outside the penalty area to beat MS PDB goalkeeper Mohd Khairol Amin Hj Zainuddin.

The prolific scorer could have made it 2-0 just before the half time whistle but his volley off of a Mohd Nazirul Nazreen Abdullah cross went inches wide.

The policemen came out a more determined team after the restart.

They dominated the midfield area and captain Rosmini Hj Abdul Kahar went close in the 50th minute but his header was parried by Indera goalkeeper Ak Mohd Nur Aqamaddin Pg Hj Salehuddin.

They continued to pile on the pressure on the offensive and created multiple chances but failed to finish, allowing Indera to slowly regain the flow of their game.

Indera found the back of the net in just their first offensive attempt in the second half.

Centre-back Reduan Hj Petara rising above the MS PDB defenders to head home Mohammad Azwan's cross from the right in the 60th minute to double his team's lead.

Mohd Hamizan Abdul Aziz made it 3-0 two minutes later with a brilliant solo effort.

He dribbled past five MS PDB players from the midfield area before rounding the goalkeeper to score his 13th goal of the season.

MS PDB managed to pull one back when Captain Rosmini calmly tapped in Mohd Zulkhairie Hj Md Salleh's cross from the right in the 86th minutes.

"All the players played very well tonight. The policemen played very well too. But we needed to win the game so we were very cautious in the second-half," said Indera's assistant coach Ali Hj Mustapa.

"I told my players to keep possession of the ball, delay the game and try to score when there are chances," he said.

The policemen , having played their final game of the season, is currently fourth in the table.

They will drop to fifth if QAF FC beat Najip FC on Saturday.

"I am very satisfied with my players. Even though we did not achieve the target of being in the top three, overall I am happy with their performance this season," said MS PDB head coach Sahrin Hj Mohd Jaya.

THE ROYAL Brunei Police Force Sports Council (MS PDB) are "happy" with their DST Super League season despite failing to achieve their target of a top-three finish.

Currently fourth in the league, MS PDB might be pushed down a spot depending on the outcome of Saturday's game between fifth-placed QAF FC and bottom side Najip FC.

MS PDB lost all hope of finishing third after a 3-1 loss to Indera Sports Club in the final game of their campaign last night, but their coach seemed satisfied with their season.

"Although we didn't achieve our aim for a top-three finish, I am still happy with my players," said Sgt Sahrin Hj Md Jaya after the match.

"We have the commitment from all the players, it's just that we have so many new faces.

"I will be letting go of three players (as) they didn't perform well enough during the tournament, and I will be looking at bringing in a younger team next season.

"One player that may join the team is Zurkumi Dawat, an ex-national centre back.

"We need to improve our defence and goalkeeper next season... The last time we played at a national level like this was over 10 years ago in the Proton B League," he explained.

QAF's tie against Najip, who have not won a single point all campaign and have let in 67 goals in eight games, marks them out as favourites and Sgt Sahrin has already predicted that a win looks to be on the cards for the multi-titled QAF.

He did, though, take some solace in their match against QAF a 4-1 victory on January 4 which he called their "best game of the season".

"I think QAF will be taking the three points on Saturday," Sgt Sahrin noted.

Like his coach, MS PDB captain Rosmini Hj Abdul Kahar has fond memories of their game against QAF.

But not one to ponder too much about the past, the skipper is already looking forward to next season.

"My favorite game of the season was against QAF. We had a lot of support from the crowd for the 90 minutes," said Rosmini.

"We definitely need to play more to gain experience, especially the new faces on the team," added the former DPMM FC player.
