MUARA VELLA eased into the third round of the DST Brunei FA Cup after breezing past Sewira FC 6-0 last night.Abd Muqaddem opened the scoring at the Berakas Sports Complex with a 12th minute penalty kick and Zakeus Sinchun's strike five minutes later made it 2-0.
Md Aminuddin Zakwan Tahir — who represented Brunei at last month's ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup in Myanmar — gave Muara Vella a commanding 3-0 lead in the 20th minute.
Abd Muqaddem got on the scoresheet again two minutes before the break and a 70th minute own goal by Sewira's Mohd Fadillah and a 92nd minute strike from Abd Azim Zainal sealed the win.
Muara Vella will now go on to face the Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council at the Berakas Sports Complex on Friday.
