THE army men definitly came out all guns a blazing, powering MS ABDB to a 10-0 thrashing of Sangsura FC in Group C of the DST National Football league at the Balapan, Track and Fied in Berakas last night.

The score disparity was largely due to Mohammad Hardi Hj Matassan who bagged four goals in the first half.

"The strategy was to get early goals in the game. We planned to attack going into this game, we needed to get the three points tonight. The intention was just to win the game but scoring ten goals in the match tonight is a bonus for us" said MS ABDB assistant manager Khalid Hj Bujang.

"If we win this game and the next, we are sure to qualify to the next round. The goal difference is very important as well, if we drop points in our next match.

"We played with 4-2-3-1 formation tonight and the plan was to attack throughout the game. Mohammad Hardi was the best player on the pitch today, he scored four goals for us tonight. In the next game, we will face Perda. We are looking forward to the game and to win it," he said.

Md Hardi, Md Khairuddin Kadir, Hj Md Yusof Matyassin, Md Haizul Rani Metussin all got their name in the scoresheet in the first half to give the MS ABDB 7-0 lead as they headed to the locker room.

MS ABDB started strong in the second half in search for more goals but Sangsura FC would put up a water tight defence to prevent any easy goals.

But there was just no denying Abdul Azizi Ali Rahman when he unleashed a strong shot past the goalkeeper after a rebound off the framework in the 70th minute.

Md Amir Ajmal Tahir's second of the night came from a counter-attack, with the midfielder dribbling half the length of the right flank before blasting the ball from outside the penalty box to beat the goalkeeper in the 74th minute.

Md Khairuddin scored the final goal of the night in the 89th minute to help his team move up to second in the standings, only a point behind Group C leaders Indera SC.

Liverpool SC will face DST FT today at 4.15 pm at the Balapan Track and Field and FC Phosphor will face LLRC FT at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium at the same time.
