MENGLAIT FC are confident ahead of their Brunei DST FA Cup clash against IKLS at the Berakas Sports Complex at 8pm tonight.

"We are ready and looking forward to it. We are looking for a win so we are going to attack from the start," said Menglait FC manager Mohd Khairul Hj Bakar.

"The mood in the team is good ahead of this match and they are confident.

"We played a few friendly matches ahead of this tournament and we added a few players in the team as some of the players decided to move to other clubs. But I am happy with the squad now, they look sharp," said Mohd Khairul.

Menglait FC are looking forward to the challenge, after missing out on qualifying for the Brunei DST Premiere League.

Their campaign went down to the wire but a 2-1 loss to Lun Bawang in their final match of the DST National League saw their season end in tatters.

"We played against IKLS before, but it was a long time ago. The squad have changed since then and there are a number of good young players in IKLS now but we have our strategy planned for this game and we hope it is going to pay off."

The other match today will see Setia Perdana FC go up against Mangalela FC at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas at 4pm.
