MS PDB hit 5 past Najip FC

|     Jake Ten     |

MS PDB condemned Najip FC to a fourth consecutive defeat after hammering the DST Super League cellar-dwellers 5-0 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium last night.

PC 5701 Mohd Fazizzul Hussin broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, but that was as good as it got in the first half, and one could have forgiven Najip FC for still clinging to the hope that they could salvage at least a point from their losing position.

The equaliser never materialised for Najip FC, and APO 6712 Md Syarafuddin Hamdi Hj Talip heaped further misery on the home side when he netted in the 70th minute.

PC 5701 Mohd Fazizzul Hussin found the back of the net eight minutes later, before a CPL 4346 Rosmini bin Hj Abu Bakar brace in stoppage time allowed MS PDB to assume temporary control of the DST Super League standings.

MS PDB now lead second-placed Indera SC on goal difference, however, that could all change when MS ABDB, who currently sit third in the standings, take on LLRC FT on Monday night, with Indera SC meeting an in-form Jerudong FC the following night.

The DST Super League continues tonight, where QAF FC will be looking to record their first win of the season against Wijaya FC at the Berakas Track and Field Complex. Kick-off is at 9pm.
