MS ABDB leapfrogged MS PDB to second place in the DST Super League after edging out Majra FC 1-0 at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.
Suhaimi Hj Md Yussof’s solitary goal in the 75th minute proved decisive.
Their superior goal difference meant that they held a comparative advantage against fierce rivals MS PDB.
Both MS PDB and MS ABDB have played the same amount of games each while Indera SC can open up a five- point gap shall they win in their game at hand.
Majra could had been given a slender chance as high as sixth starting with a win but MS ABDB – keeping tabs with the top three in last week’s 2-1 win against Najip – were determined to put their woes against Indera behind them in a game that swung the title aspirations not in favour of the army’s team.
That said Majra had arrived on the back of a confident draw against the runaway league leaders until Suhaimi stepped up to produce the goods for MS ABDB.
Meanwhile, Najip FC returned to winning ways after comfortably beating LLRC FT 4-0 on Monday night at the Tutong Sports Complex.
Mohd Azri bin Zahari, Abang Nor Sillmy bin Abang Taha, Ampuan Mohd Endy Azri bin Ampuan Hj Idris and Abang Nur Hilman bin Abang Nor Hillmy all found the net for Najip FC.
