Lumut Recreational Club Football Team (LLRC FT) leapfrogged Wijaya FC
into fifth spot in the DST Super League after defeating them 3-1 last
night.LLRC are on 15 points from nine games while Wijaya have 13 points and have played two extra matches.
Ak Mohamad Haikal Pg Zaidi notched a hat-trick in the victory with goals coming in the 62nd, 71st and 90th minutes at the Tutong Sports Complex.
Hj Mohd Halimi Hj Abu Bakar scored a consolation goal for Wijaya during injury time of the second half.
The competition continues today with two more matches set to kick off at 8.15pm.
It will be a bottom table clash with Majra United taking on the winless Jerudong FC at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
The other game pits the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) against QAF FC at the Berakas Sports Complex.
Indera SC, who went unbeaten in the first half of the competition, lead the 10-team table with 23 points from nine games.
They are coming off an impressive 2-0 victory over Najip FC on Tuesday.
MS ABDB and Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council are both tied on 18 points in the fight for second. However, the latter have played one game more than the armymen.
Najip occupy the fourth spot with 16 points to their name. QAF are in seventh with 10 points.
