Ratano bin Hj Tuah netted a 9th minute opener, before a 10th-minute Muhammad Hafis bin Mahari brace extended QAF FC's lead to 3-0 in the 40th minute.
Mohd Nor Hidayatullah bin Hj Zaini scored what looked to be a consolation goal on the stroke of halftime, but Kilanas FC came out a different side in the second half.
Izzul Wazien bin Osman reduced the deficit to just a single goal in the 56th minute, and Kilanas FC did the unthinkable by drawing level 20 minutes later.
Their efforts were in vein, however, as Muhammad Hafis bin Mahari completed his hat-trick in the 83rd minute, sparing QAF FC's blushes.
The win was an important three points and saw QAF FC leapfrog LLRC FT into 5th place in the DST Super League standings.
The latter will be looking to take back their position when they play MS PDB at the Berakas Track and Field Complex tonight. Kick-off is at 8:15pm.
