QAF FC battle to a draw

|     Fadhil Yunus     |

QAF FC battled back to earn a creditable 2-2 draw against LLRC FT in the DST Super League at the Tutong Sports Complex last night.

Hardy Anak Bujang popped up with the crucial header reacting to a flick-on by a QAF FC player to earn a share of the spoils.

The lively Md Hakeem bin Keri had earlier given LLRC the perfect response after conceding to a scrappy goal getting the end of a perfectly weighed cross with a stunning finish.

The LLRC fans had a decent view of their friends in action and Md Hakeem did not disappoint creating all sorts of problems in the wing alongside partner-in-crime Md Ghazi bin Hj Ismawi.

Md Ghazi broke free after finding acres of space but QAF FC’s goalkeeper Ak Sharil Muiz bin Pg Hashim did enough to put him off balance.

LLRC had decent chances to grab a winner but they may have been considered fortunate not to be awarded a penalty against them as QAF FC was left aggrieved by some disputable refereeing.

LLRC’s Md Fakhrul Amin bin Sanif produced an excellent reaction save to deny Mohd Adie Arsham to score from close range but it was an earlier move where a defender allegedly handled that left the QAF FC player storming into the referee’s attention.

The second controversial decision saw Mohd Adie Arsham avoiding the ball from passing out of the byline and allegedly hit a defender’s arm but the man in the middle waived the penalty appeals much to the dismay of the QAF FC’s players.

With all the action- packed performance in the second half, it felt quite a long time since Md Ghazi had earlier opened proceedings for LLRC in a 5th minute lead.
