The game between QAF FC and Wijaya FC was halted in the 12th minute of play, when one of the floodlights lost power. After several unsuccessful attempts to restart the malfunctioning floodlight, and several minutes of deliberation between the referee, referee's assistants and team managers, it was inevitable that they concluded to postpone the game.
This marked the second time in four games that QAF FC were forced to accept a rescheduled fixture, the first occurrence coming in the second week of the DST Super League against MS ABDB due to bad weather conditions.
It was confirmed by the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) that the fixture between QAF FC and MS ABDB had been moved to Jan 23, and is set to be played at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium. The match will kick-off at 9pm.
However, it remains to be seen when last night's fixture will be replayed, but this series of unfortunate events will certainly have hindered QAF FC's progress in the DST Super League, as they still seek that illusive first win of the season.
